5 Ways to Open Your Blog Post and Hold Your Reader’s Attention

Your title is critically important to your blog post, that is why it is imperative that you take the time and develop an attention grabbing title that you know will grab and hold you visitors attention.

Immediately after you have developed the title, the second most important part of your blog, is the opening paragraph mywebmagazine.co.uk. Unless you are an expert, be prepared to spend a good amount of time writing the opening paragraph. Spending time and thought in developing this important part of your blog will pay big dividends in the long wrong.

Your eye-popping headline has to be in cinch with you first paragraph but they both must first catch the reader’s attention and hold them to the page once they start to read your post. An outstanding headline combined with a dull opening is a recipe for disaster. The disaster is the reader will click the back browser never to return.

If you wait until perfect timing to come before you start a blog, that time will never come. Most people think that if they start it with the right foot, they are going to finish sooner than people who begin with the first step immediately. That can’t happen if the pace is the same.

The bad news is, often people who start right away will have the motivation to get things going because they are used to do things immediately. This is not the case for people who tend to be very considerate.

You are free to set new year resolutions, but that doesn’t do any good unless you also create a plan to do it and take the necessary steps to move you closer to the goal on a daily basis.

As with any plans and goals, resolutions change too. You can’t wait to set a new resolution next year, you could always start at anytime. Visualize that you’ve reached the goal, and you will be as excited to do it as during the New Year.

If you are currently have an idea or topic for a blog, you can start researching the feasibility and profitability of the niche. Find what others have been doing right now and think about ways to do it differently and offer unique and quality content.

Who knows, before new year, you already have a few hundred readers to your blog? So do it today, right now. The process will be the same no matter when you start it.

But there is hope. This hope also comes without having to pay for outsourcing your content. The two tools I like to use to get up to date fresh content are Google Reader and Google Alerts.

First off, Google Reader. If you don’t already have a Google account, go sign up for one. Then, at the top of the screen under “more”, click on that. A drop-down list will appear, and click on “Reader”. Another screen will come up, where you can add or manage subscriptions to different blogs/sites.
